FAQ
Schedule
What time do you stream?
The regular stream schedule will change month-to-month, but I will try to aim for a weekend 9 pm EST/EDT start time when I can. An updated schedule will usually be bookmarked on my Discord, Instagram, and Twitch. The most accurate weekly schedule changes will be posted on Discord. I will also try and pre-plan streams publicly on my YouTube channel so that you can set notifications if you see these scheduled streams in your feed.
When can we expect morning streams?
Sometimes my personal availability changes, and I can fit a stream or two into my weekly schedule in the mornings on specific weekdays for about a month. These will be temporary, and the day(s) of the week may change each month that I can include a morning stream schedule. I will rarely be available in the mornings on weekends.
Which platforms/games do you play?
I play a variety of games on most available platforms, including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles that have been released from the earliest to the most recent generations. I don't stick to a single game, and I do not play competitively. For group streams, I'll just jump on with whatever my friends are playing (such as Halo, Overwatch, GTA, and other multiplayer games).
Why do you sometimes stream on days that aren't on your schedule?
Sometimes friends will want me to play games at the last minute, and I may feel like streaming it. Sometimes I'm really into a game and will want to play it on additional days. If you want to know when I'm live for an unscheduled stream, make sure that you turn on notifications on your preferred platform.
Games
What games do you have?
I have a database of most games I own using Darkadia.
Can I play with you?
I will usually put "w/ chat" in my stream title if I intend to play with the community. Otherwise, I typically play with my friends who are just looking to wind down and relax. Depending on who they are and how they feel, they may not be interested in having strangers join the game and party chat.
Music
What's the music sometimes playing at the beginning of the stream or during breaks?
That's my own music from my other YouTube channel.
Which DAW are you using during your music production streams?
Friends
Who are you playing with?
I tend to stream with specific friends regularly in several games. If we're all streaming at the same time, type "!multi" in my chat to get the link to our multi-stream. Otherwise, I will usually tag the people I am playing with in the stream title by including "@" followed by their Twitch user name, or I may be co-streaming with them.
What is the "GOOS Squad?"
The "GOOS Squad" (or "Goose Squad," since there's no official term or spelling for the group) is a group of friends and family I always play games with. A couple of us have a Twitch channel, but for the most part, they don't care about streaming and are just playing to play the game. Please respect them and don't harass them in chat, Steam, or Xbox. If you show up to my stream often enough, you might get to know who they all are.
Technical
Any chance you'll stream to other platforms like Facebook, Kick, or TikTok?
Outside of Twitch and YouTube, I don't have any intention of streaming to other platforms. The only exception might be Instagram or TikTok at a later time. I have streamed live on Instagram before, while also streaming to Twitch and YouTube, but the process became complicated and problematic. In addition, I decided to stop streaming to Instagram for personal and moral reasons after several changes to the platform and political stances that I do not agree with or wish to support.
Do you make stream layouts for others?
I've worked on stuff for friends, but otherwise, no.
Did you make your stream layouts yourself?
The layouts you often see on stream are a mix of my own custom designs as well as assets created by others. If attribution is required, I will provide it. While I am not a graphic designer, I like to sometimes design things myself or seek out specific ideas I have. I am not looking for offers to redesign my Twitch or YouTube layouts. When I am looking to change things up, I will either design it myself, use pre-made assets already available, or reach out to specific people I know or am interested in working with.
I am a graphic designer and would like to work with you...
I have got so many of these requests on stream that it has become unbearable to manage, and it is affecting the quality of the live streams as a result of my constantly repeating my response. While I usually support advertising and sharing your creative work with as many people who are interested in checking it out, I cannot continue to promote this behavior on my live streams. It has even become so bad that I have made it a new rule on my Twitch channel chat and created an on-screen graphic that will display if I know this question is coming up based on the usual pattern of conversation from first-time chatters. If you continue to request this during the live stream, you could potentially face a ban from the chat.
In short, do not make these requests in my live chat. The answer is no.
Support
How can I help support your content?
I am currently affiliated on Twitch, so you have the option to subscribe to my channel and donate Bits if you choose to do so. I also created a Patreon for the stream and set up "tips" through Streamlabs. Tips and subscriptions are optional and never required. I will never have a paywall for my content, and it will always be available to access for free for everyone (unless there are copyright or other issues that are out of my control).
What are other ways I can support your content right now?
You can buy or stream my music (more info here). I also set up a Ko-Fi account for my music as well as a PayPal account. Also, sharing and linking to my content helps me a lot more than you might realize.
Personal
Hey, I like your videos! Can you check out my channel/video/song/etc?
In general, yes. I am usually a proponent of sharing your work with pride. However, if you're asking me to watch or listen to something while I'm streaming, the answer is no. Not only does it disrupt the stream, but I will likely forget after the stream is over. I would recommend sending me a link afterward as a whisper on Twitch, on any social media account that I am currently active on, or on Discord. Please do not use my email for this purpose unless it's for a collaboration or other opportunity.
Most recently, I also had to implement a rule on Twitch against sharing graphic art or requesting that I commission design work due to a relentless campaign from scammers and bots on the platform. Please refer to the "Technical" section above.
Can I be a mod?
I won't give mod status to just about anyone asking for it. I will set my friends as mods, or if I notice someone continuously comes out to my streams and participates in my chat, I will then decide on my own if I want to make them a mod. Mods must adhere to my chat rules or risk losing their mod privileges.
Hey, I like your videos and subscribed! Could you also subscribe back to me?
No. I have a strict policy against "follow for follow", "sub for sub", "like for like", etc., requests. My answer to this will always be no. If you wish for me to check out something you've created, see the previous question above.
Regarding politics...
While I try and stray away from being a political commentary channel in general, I am generally open about my political views. However, this is not an open invitation to bring up unsolicited political discourse in chat. I know from experience that these discussions can turn very ugly, very fast. For the most part, I want to keep the discussions in my live streams positive and inclusive.
If I'm feeling particularly talkative and open on a subject, I will show the "!politics" command in my stream title or set a politics tag or category. If this is the case, you can feel free to ask me (NOT anyone else in chat) my thoughts or general positions. Do not berate others who have differing opinions or beliefs in chat. I welcome civil discussions, not personal attacks.
Can I add you on Xbox / Steam / PlayStation / NSO / Discord / etc?
You are free to "follow" me on any of these platforms, but I typically don't add random people to specifically Xbox, and just stick to friends I know. The same typically goes with Steam. I'm generally less strict with PlayStation, Nintendo, or other PC platforms. You can join any of the Discord channels I have set up (as long as you follow the rules), but do not ask me for a friend request.
Why am I banned/blocked?
If it's not specified in the Twitch chat, you can rest assured it was for a good reason.
I'll follow/subscribe if you do this funny thing on stream!
Here's why I won't do that. You can also trigger this link by typing "!fart" in chat.
Can I ask a mod to appeal my ban?
No. Leave the mods alone.
Where are you from/what do you do/etc?
I'm from Canada, but please don't ask me or anyone else in chat or who I'm playing with any personal questions beyond that.
